Understand your State Unemployment Benefits

Partners who have either temporarily or permanently separated from Starbucks due to COVID-19 can apply for state unemployment benefits. If they are not eligible for traditional state unemployment benefits, they may be eligible for one or more of the unemployment benefits through the Consolidated Appropriations Act (e.g., Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), and Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC)). The financial benefit amounts under these programs differ based on state defined criteria (e.g., earnings, hours worked).
